Pop coming to retail stores

Wii Rumour | Wii Ware download cancelled?
Back in October, we reported on an Australian developed Wii title called Pop!. The game is a puzzle title that was originally scheduled for release on the Wii Ware service.

While scanning through the retailer release lists today, we realised that Topshop has included a listing for a retailer version of Pop!. According to the retailer, Pop! is set for release on Valentine's Day. We tried contacting the developer of Pop!, Nnoo, for a comment, but they haven't responded. We'll let you know once they answer us.

Why do I think of Music and Lyrics when I hear of the title Pop?

Anyway, I can see why they would choose to go for a retailer release. More exposer. Not all Wii owners are connected to the internet, and while the Wii Ware titles are a good idea, if a developer makes a great game which they feel can perform well enough as a disc release, then go for it.

Side note: I'd personally prefer to see it as a WiiWare game.

Well, it's a Thursday, so it has to be legit.
