Assassin's Creed PC receives exclusive content

PC News | March release to feature 'brand new exclusive side missions'
To be assumed as a sign of good faith to overly-patient PC owners, Ubisoft has today announced that the Windows version of its multi-million selling console hit, Assassin's Creed will be graced by exclusive content.

Promising 'four brand new exclusive types of investigations' on the press release doing the rounds, the officially re-monikered Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut Edition will see a release for PCs in late March.

Of course, 'exclusive content' is all fine and good. But when it comes at the price of an arm, a leg, and a couple of other vital appendage's worth of minimum system requirements, we're inclined to caution those whose rigs have a hard enough time running Crysis as it is (who would've thought we'd live long enough to actually say that).

I have an 8800GTX, so I should be able to run it, the question is, how improved are the graphics and is the exclusive content any good. If both are improvements over the 360 version which I already own, then this is a buy for me.

Hey, maybe they'll include an ending in this version.

"its a trilogy you say? hmm, well why doesn't part one have a closed ending? WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE ABLE TO RUN INTO ANOTHER GAME??? I WANT MY TRILOGY TO BE THREE GAMES TOTALLY SEPERATE FROM EACH OTHER"

thats the heavily sarcastic version of the last post unless im very much mistaken

I thought the game was excellent, right up until it ended in mid sentence. Let's take the best trilogy of all time as an example: Star Wars. Did A New Hope end when Luke was getting into his X-wing and Han was fleeing with his tail between his legs? Assassin's Creed did.

It was a stupid, lazy move on the developers' part. I knew shortly after I started playing the game that I'd be buying the sequel no matter what, they didn't have to force me to buy it by not including a resolution of the first game's story.

Meh, I agree with PALGN. Not worth $1500 just for a few extras.

But seeing as I just got a new PC anyway... this jsut *might* be on the cards if reviews are really favourable.

I agree, the way they ended it was terrible, sure they dont have to resolve everything, you can expect some questions to remain unanswered until the later games, but that doesnt change the fact the ending was **** and poorly written.
