The Club ships without product key

PC News | PC gamers unable to join.
IGN reports that some copies of Sega's shooter The Club for PC have shipped without the code necessary for online play via Games for Windows Live. We don't yet know how many or what proportion of keys were missing.

Customer support for the game has acknowledged the issue and offers a solution: visit this site to fill out an online form which will apparently yield the necessary key immediately.

The Club is a third-person action game developed by Bizarre Creations based around an exclusive group that participates in gladiator-style combat. Eight different characters compete for points that are earned via combo-based kills, and online leaderboards track players' abilities and progress.

Well that's some fantastic, secure way to not encourage piracy.

I just managed to get a Product Key and I don't even own the damn game.

Top Job, SEGA.

lol exactly, all you need to fill in is your date of birth and your email address and they send you a key, no proof of purchase etc. icon_rolleyes.gif

Apparently the game was super-average, so a blotch like this is bad news. Nothing worse than biting the few people who give the time and money to actually buy a game these days :S
