Crysis and Crysis Warhead soon on Steam

PC News | Want to download a Crysis?
Digital distribution system Steam will have both Crysis and Crysis Warhead available for worldwide download from September 18.

Both games can be purchased separately or together in a bundle which is currently stated at US$89.98.

Perhaps the most interesting facet of this news is that EA has finally allowed their published content to appear on Steam for the first time. It becomes even more fascinating due to EA possessing its own digital distribution system - which has yet to even list Crysis Warhead for download.

I might grab it off steam since Warhead was delayed in Australia..

although im worried the way steam will install it, the file format might prevent modding etc..?

If you can get someone in North America to gift it to you, you'll only have to pay $70. That's what I'm doing.

nope the buy it price is $30 on steam.

And it wont be $70, as the retail RRP is $49 in Australia.

I'll wait for PALGN's review of this one. Crysis was fun but this needs to add something to the formula, hopefully more human enemies rather than the aliens, they were boring.

Lot's of reviews that I'm reading are praising Crysis Warhead as much better than the original. IGN gave it 9.4/10, which is....wow.

It is looking great a definate pickup IMO. But it wont be from steam as it would probably blow my download limit in one go. I know there's ways to get it unmetered through bigpond, but it's to hard for me to understand XD.

YAY cant wait looks AWESOME ^_^

steam is a great games program, as most of anyone probably knows, and is most likely going to be a great contribution to the success of the Crysis series.
The only thing is, i seriously hope they change the update and community system of Crysis because it is terrible!!
or maybe thats just me...

That will always be a problem, but thats a risk you must take to enjoy Steam! And in my view, it is totally worth it.

Anyway
Game it out

With Internode. Steam downloads are unmetered, so when I am capped, I can download at full speed. Too bad I only have macs. so only occasionally use steam.
