Relic details upcoming Dawn of War II patch

PC News | Game improvements detailed.
The latest commmunity update from Relic has divulged a few interesting tidbits about the upcoming 1.3 patch for the RTS title Dawn of War II.

Relic announced that a two-on-two multiplayer mode is coming to the game in the next patch - which will initially be supported by the release of two four-player maps with more to be rolled out in the future.

The patch will also contain the option of push-to-talk voice chat, new squad decorators, tweaked skirmish AI to offer players more of a challenge, UI enhancements and a performance test to help measure Dawn of War II's performance on your system.

Relic has advised that more details will be coming through on the patch in the coming days. The 1.3 patch is expected to be released for the game early this month.

More maps are good, same with a performance test, I'm curious as how much performance "overhead" my system has considering everything cranked to full (well, full as the game will let me) and it runs flawlessly. Now if they could just release bigger maps.

Great they might fix the voice chat. I've been forced to use Skype when playing co-op since the GFWL chat is absolutely useless.

Nice to see the game being supported. Also ditto about voice chat, it's bloody horrible.

"new squad decorators"- I assume that means more shiny things that get stuck on your armour, as opposed to a guest appearance from Queer Eye for the Space Marine Guy?

Yeah I think if you rank up in multiplayer your force commander changes looks a little. I guess this means more unique looks/ranks for the commanders.
