More Left for Dead 2 details revealed

PC News | This used to be a funhouse, but now its full of zombie driven dodge 'em cars.
While the zombie driven dodge 'em cars might be a pipe dream (fingers crossed that it isn't!), the latest episode of Game Trailers TV has revealed that one of the campaigns for Valve's zombie killing sequel Left 4 Dead 2 will take place in an amusement park.

Details on the campaign are light, but what we do know from the footage is that this amusement park is more akin to a low budget carnival than to a Disney-esque theme park.

Also announced was a new melee weapon for the title, a katana, which has proved to be one of the most widely requested melee weapons from the fan community.

Left 4 Dead 2 is scheduled for release this November.

L4d 2 sounding more like Dead rising,
( even has a 1990's guy in that pic! )

More daylight stuff
More cheesey

Dunno i have doubts, it better have alot of night missions too, And maybe character customising?

and im happy theres new weapons , not like the standard 3-4 they have now

Second. This game is sounding better and better all the time.
I don't understand why daylight missions are a problem.

The more I see of L4D2, the less I can understand why it's an entirely new game...? Couple of new levels, couple new enemies, couple new characters, couple new weapons, sounds like a typical expansion pack...

Too much money to be made by selling it as another game

Weirdly enough I had a deam about L4D last night that I was one of the characters in it. I'm looking forward to this game, but it does just seem like more of an expansion. And judging by the price of L4D, it will be years before this game hits the bargan barrels.

Which character?

I would be Bill. Bill is awesome.

Looking like a day one purchase, since it's released on my birthday. icon_biggrin.gif

Night blocks out detail, Valve are using HF2 engine.

So naturally , Day missions wont look good on the HF2 engine because all the detail and graphics wont be there ( One example is that things are very straight )
And the colours are kinda not that great.

And ffs i hate the new characters , I only like the vegas guy,
( and wont the fat guy be a disadvantage? easier to hit with EVERY single monster )

I was actually just myself. It was a scary dream at first, but once I died I realised that I could respawn and it became awesome!

Wouldn't it be the HL2 engine not HF2? And isn't it an upgraded HL2 engine, (actually called Source but whatever)? Cause I am sure that L4D looks a lot better than HL2 does. Just compare HL2 with Episode 2.
