This is excellent news. Hopefully they'll show it off at E3 this year and announce a xmas 2010 release.

TDU was awesome, I've been looking forward to the sequel for a while.

Never played the first game but it looked like something I'd really enjyo, I just never got around to grabbing it as I figured no one would be on it any more and thus it'd be kinda boring. Will definitely suss out the sequel though.

Wow, I didn't see this coming. TDU was simply awesome on the PC (although woeful in comparison on the 360). Unlike many other racers that came later, TDU was simple fun.

the single-player alone would be worth what you'd pay these days for the first one. I got it cheap myself, probably about a year or so after release and didn't really get into the multiplayer. There's other people there on the map, but they kinda did their thing while I did mine. The challenges, races and time trials etc are very fun to play through.

There's Forza 3 though atm I guess. But, dare I say it, TDU would give Forza a good run for it's money as far as the levels of fun that you'd experience, especially if you like the dash cam (not being a smart-arse, it's just a really fun game to play from that perspective).

And I only played the 360 version. While I didn't have a problem with it (thought it was great), I never had the PC version to compare it with.

TDU was a very ambitious game, a bit over-reaching, but hopefully they'll manage to pull it off even better this time. I look forward to it! (And if you haven't played the original, it's probably cheap as chips in the local second hand bin)

I loved the original. Burning rubber around the streets of Hawaii was fun, there were plenty of races, the properties you could buy were sweet and there was a ton of extra cars available for download (I think there were five packs in total and I bought all of them).

So yeah, I'm hoping this sequel will rock just as hard.

I cannot wait. icon_biggrin.gif TDU is still my all-time favourite 360 game, and while it was totally awesome, it certainly wasn't perfect. If they can iron out some of the problems from last time, it's fast-track to preorder city for me.

Definitely unexpected but great news, can't wait for TDU2 as I had much <3 for the first game.

I wiled away hours on the original title (from memory I think I onnly had 3-4 challenges left on the entire island) and without a doubt it was my favourite racing title ever - barring the awesome NFS: Hot Pursuit.

I think the single-player aspect of the original was incredibly polished the first time around, fingers crossed that the multiplayer gets the same treatment this time around before that was uber broen on the PC edition. icon_sad.gif
