The sequel's special edition will feature the same upgraded high-definition art, full voiceovers and remastered music that the original was treated to, as well as the ability to switch between the original version of the game and the remastered one. However, some aspects will be changed, such as a new control mechanic for moving Guybrush around, and a new design for Guybrush's hair, after complaints from fans regarding his look in the first special edition. The Secret of Monkey Island 2: Le Chuck's Revenge Special Edition is expected to come out 'this summer' on XBLA, PSN, PC and iPhone.
In other news, it was also announced that the original The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition will be coming to PSN and Mac, as well as online games stores such as Instant Action and Telltale. No release date for these ports has yet been announced, but keep checking back for more information as we get it.
