not really feeling it , we have gta , we have saints row , and unless those are early shots i don't think there's a place on the map for true crime just like with the last game.

Yeah, I kind of agree Mike.

There is a video floating around somewhere, I think GameTrailers. The footage looks alright, and the moves that the guy pulls off look decent... but I'm not feeling it. Obviously there's still a bit of time before the game is released...so it could turn out alright.

Edit: Here is a vid

If it's released around the same time as Mafia II though, well then, bad luck to True Crime.

indeed , and after watching that video id say they need to go back to the drawing board and scrap that level , its looking to much like the first game , the car sections on the other hand look like fun

Totally agree with you there, i bought Mafia i think over 7 years ago and ive been eagerly waiting in excitement ever since the first trailer appeared in 2007 then after it was delayed and delayed until finally this fall, but if True Crime gets an alright review of 8 or so then i might pick that up as well.

Well you know how I feel about GTAIV so I don't agree with you.I would rather this than GTAIV.

Also I think the original True Crime was the best "GTA Rippoff" out there as it did a few things better than GTA.

Well I have 0 interest in MafiaII so I don't have that problem/idea.

Plus these days I am EXTREMELY into sandbox games. For months I was barely playing games because I lost a great amount of interest in video games. Then I bought Destroy All Humans: Path of the Furon and I was having the fun I used to have with video games and was playing it for hours on end.Now it's exactly the same with The Saboteur.Last night I actually stayed up past 1 am playing it even though I should have and usualy am in bed by no later than 12am.I just didn't want to put the game down.

Also I played the Just Cause demo 4 times when 95% of the PS3 demos I have played once then deleted them.I think of JC2 coming out and I get very excited and that almost never happens to me these days.

from a sales point of view , it just looks really bland , it wouldn't matter if i liked gta or not its just that if they don't polish it up it will be an underated game at the worst ( a gem or a bug ridden mess ) take yea pick .

I dunno what to think. There saying there influenced by films like Infernal Affairs (one of my favorite films) and Election. I've got a lot of love for Triad movies.
On the other hand, the footage there showing in the video posted by Gregsy looks very work in progress still. The character animations look like they need a bit of work still, there's a few spots where they seem to jump too quickly between a combat stance to just standing there.
I'm going to keep a eye on it. Game sounds like it could have potential.

Yeah, I see what you mean.

Sandbox/Open-world games are awesome. I usually want to try most of them, generally the third-person games... but if there is one or two that might not appeal, I'll just forget about them.
