The Weekend Steam - 13/3/10

PC News | BAM! ZAP! POW! Holy bargain basement!
With the hoopla surrounding the launch of Final Fantasy XIII, steam is celebrating the title's launch with a sale on all number of things from Square Enix and Eidos. For the rest of the weekend, gamers will be able to pick up some serious bargains, saving up to 50% off on Batman: Arkham Asylum, Just Cause (players can reap even further savings if they purchase the two titles in a bundle) and Final Fantasy XI: Ultimate Collection.

Bargain savvy gamers will be able to pick up a copy of Batman: Arkham Asylum for US $24.99 / AU $27.28 / GBP £13.25, Just Cause for US $7.49 / AU $8.17 / GBP £4.49 or both titles bundled together for a further saving which comes in at US $22.09 / AU $24.11 / GBP £13.25. Final Fantasy XI: Ultimate Collection rounds out the sale at US $9.99 / AU $10.90 / GBP £9.99.

Batman: Arkham Asylum is the highly acclaimed title from Rocksteady Studios which saw The Dark Knight suffer a long night with the crazies at Arkham Asylum at he attempted to thwart the Joker's dastardly plot while coming face-to-face with a veritable rogue's gallery of villains from the Batman universe. We here at PALGN quite enjoyed what was beneath the cowl of Batman: Arkham Asylum when we reviewed the game late last year. Those interested can check out the review of the title here.

Just wondering, would you guys be able to do a 'Weekly Steam'? or something similar. Lately there have been many sales that have different things on throughout the week.

I didn't pick up Batman: AA when it was on special on Games for Windows Live last week, but I might have to grab it now.

FFXI is kind of tempting at that price too, but I don't really want to get addicted to an MMO..

Not sure Final Fantasy XI is worth it at that price, considering its meant to be going off line when XIV launches, and thats meant to be this year.

I didn't really enjoy B:AA on PC, seems more like a console game to me.

I thought SE said they would support both for at least a while?
