The Weekend Steam - 28/8/2010

PC News | Get ready to go to war.
This Weekend Steam features huge savings on the games in the Mount and Blade series.

The games, developed by indie company Tale Worlds, features two titles. Mount and Blade, the original title that introduced gamers to free-form sandbox gameplay in a medieval setting, is now at 75% off of its regular price of USD$29.99. The recent sequel, Mount and Blade: Warband, adds more than a handful of new features, including a complete graphical overhaul, a re-balanced combat system, the ability to romance ladies of the realm and a brand new multiplayer mode. Warband is 66% of its regular price of USD$29.99.

Keeping in theme with medieval warfare is King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame, a real-time strategy game that features a branching storyline and RPG elements such as morality and experience points for use in leveling skills and abilities. King Arthur is 33% off if you buy it in Steam's special package, which includes DLC and an expansion pack.

mount and blade interests me, worth buying the original or the expansion?

I just bought the expansion! and the game is really awesome! especially the multiplayer. It a cross between total war meets counterstrke. the graphics aren't that great but the gameplay is really good and for the discounted price it is well worth it in my opinion
