I wonder if they've bothered actually fixing Tales of Valor on Steam. Many/most people who bought it back when it came out on Steam got told by the game that they've got an invalid CD key and have to contact support to get it authorised...

Edit: just looked at the Steam forum, nope, problem still exists. Steam's CD keys are invalid and get your account banned before you even begin playing. Good to see they're on the ball with these sorts of things...

Just to clarify re the CD Keys thing. There was an under-supply of CD Keys from THQ. I guess they didn't expect so many people to buy it or whatever. However Steam immediately got on the case and the problem was fixed within the same day. It wasn't that the keys were invalid as such.. it's just that there weren't enough to go around, so the cd key being provided would have been the next one in the correct sequence but THQ hadn't authorised them yet.

It's been rectified already unless there is a new under-supply issue that needs to be addressed by THQ again and then it would only be effecting those who bought after the first instance was resolved.

I picked up the complete CoH pack and also pre-ordered Recettear: An Item's Tale. Was quite a good weekend on Steam. icon_smile.gif

when might the COH pack go on sale again ?

Well.. considering they are going to turn it into a free-2-play multiplayer with the first single player campaign very shortly.. I'm not sure that it will.. free-2-play is a very loose term though as there is speculation that while there will be no monthly subscription or purchase needed.. if you want to play the multiplayer effectively you will need to buy some form of "game credits" as per normal with f2p games.
