THQ released their latest earnings report last week, and while we reported on the console side of things, we neglected to mention a small tidbit concerning their much awaited first person shooter, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
Yes, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. yet again. This time, the game is now set for a Q4 2006 release, though speculation suggests that the game may not come out until Q1 2007. Now six years since its original showing, rampant speculation suggests that there are significant quality problems within the title that have resulted in consistent delays. PALGN sincerely hopes that nobody upgraded their PC in anticipation for this title.
First shown in 2001, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl is a free roaming first person shooter set in the not too distant future. Players have free roam over a to-scale section of the ruined Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine, which was the site of the infamous nuclear meltdown in 1986. The aim of the game: retrieve swag, and kill any other stalkers and other beasties that get in your way. PALGN will have more news on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. as it breaks.
