Civilization IV expansion pack announced

PC News | Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword.
2K has announced a second expansion pack for Civilization IV, titled Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword.

It continues the saga beyond the dawn of civilization past the age of gunpowder and contains the largest amount of content ever released in a Civilization expansion pack. New features include corporations and random events (including natural disasters), as well as providing earlier access to espionage and the United Nations. Ten new civilizations will be featured along with sixteen new leaders, five new wonders, and a variety of new units. If that's not enough, the game AI has been enhanced, making it even more challenging at higher difficulty levels.

The expansion pack is planned for release in July 2007, but has not been dated yet for Australian release.

I know what you mean, though the last time I played a game that had random natural disasters I so threw a tantrum at getting owned. icon_sad.gif

Lets hope that doesn't happen again. ^^

Man I haven't even found the time to complete 1 game of vanilla Civ IV let alone the Warlords expansion and now this one too.

Well Civ IV is a great game and I don't expect it to become obsolete anytime soon, so I'm sure I'll have plenty of time yet icon_smile.gif

Now bring on Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri 2!
