E3 2007: Microsoft bringing two 360 titles to PC

PC News | Gears of War and Viva Piñata.
During Microsoft’s pre-E3 conference, it was revealed that two previously exclusive Xbox 360 titles, Viva Piñata and Gears of War, will be coming to the PC later this year. Both titles will support Games for Windows – LIVE, as well as being available on both Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Game designer Cliffy B revealed, to the surprise of no one, the existence of Gears of War for the PC. It was announced that the previously exclusive Xbox 360 title would include new content such as a game editor, five new single player chapters, new multiplayer modes and promises for much more.

The game footage shown didn’t look terribly different to the Xbox 360 version released last year, but Cliffy B showed a quick battle with a Brumak. No information on Viva Piñata was disclosed however.

Gears of War and Viva Piñata are scheduled for a release around Christmas this year.

I'd get Gears of War on PC, but my computer is a piece of poo. I think having Viva Pinata on PC is good, as most people who the game would appeal to are PC gamers. LEt's hope they turn out good icon_smile.gif

Since this is Epic we can trust that GoW will run really well, unlike Lost Planet.

Now for Mass Effect and we're done. icon_smile.gif

I'll have to see the minimium requirements before I know if my computer can handle Gears but if it does then I will snap it up on PC. I am rather suprised about Viva Pianta coming to PC.

Did they confirm wether or not any of the new content for the PC version will be accessible for free or via microtransactions on the 360?

^ They didn't say its coming to the 360 at all so we'll have to wait and see.

As for system requirements, keep in mind that Epic are EXTREMELY good at PC coding so it won't be too high and even low end computers will get some kind of resemblance running.

Mark, I think its worth mentioning that unlike a few Microsoft Game Studio games, these two will be both XP and Vista compatible.

Thanks crest, updated. Kinda chaotic during the conference, so I didn't actually remember them mentioning it. Though we did just receive a press release that re-confirmed the information. Thanks for the heads up either way.

After seeing the Gears (PC) video it's a must buy for me. It better not have a blood 'seriously...' achievement or I will cry.

I'm looking forward to Viva Pinata pc very much, only because I can see alot of downloadable stuff coming for it. Hopefully there will be lots of user created content websites like The Sims have, because there is bound to be people who are willing to make more pinatas and accessories for them. Only problem is, I can see it being a tad more diffiult to make them for Viva then The Sims.

Well, the one major reason for me to buy a 360 just came to PC, and I'm talking about Viva Pinta.
