Grab one of 1000 copies of Fury

PC Competition | Furific!
To celebrate the December 14th launch of Fury's huge new add-on Age of The Chosen, Brisbane based developer Auran has kindly offered to give away 1000 copies of Fury to PALGN readers. That's a retail value of well over $50,000!

Age of The Chosen will include a two new game-types, Carnage & 1v1 Elimination, with 7 brand new maps to accompany them. The tutorial and interface has been streamlined and various rebalancing and bug fixes will improve the game's overall experience.

To grab your copy of the PC game, simply be only of the first 1000 people to answer the following question correctly; In what city is Fury's developer, Auran based? To make it extra easy it's even multiple choice!

The Age of The Chosen content update for Fury will be available to download from the Fury servers on December 14th. PALGN would like to thank Auran for the prizes and organising this competition.

UPDATE: All Copies of Fury have now been allocated. Thanks to everyone who entered.

No way thats going to be an Australian place, or a city, as its clearly an island in some foreign country.

You have too many [quote] bars in your text. A single bar of quote only needs to be encapsulated by [.quote.="Username"] and then [/.quote.], ignoring the extra dots.

^ i'm guessing that in your profile, you've unchecked a few boxes.
"Always allow BBCode:"
and
"Always enable Smilies:"
to be specific.

otherwise, nfi.

EDIT: actually, on Editing it, i saw that underneath the text box when you're writing a post, you had 2 boxes checked:
"Disable BBCode in this post"
"Disable Smilies in this post"
un-check these next time you post.

i didn't actually change any of the text, so while this is often the case, it wasn't here.

Poor Auran.

It really is a shame, I stand by the game having massive potential. If only the 'Age of the Chosen' content had been available from the get-go, it may have reviewed better and therefore sold more...

I don't know what their strategy is, but hopefully it works out for them... it's never good to see an Aussie developer clutching at straws.

Especially a game that truly did not deserve to flop like this.

I really, really like Fury. I might not play it much due to time constraints, but what's there is fun and a purely enjoyable experience. Auran deserved at least some form of success.

Wow.

That's terrible news.

To put so much time money and effort into something, and to get to a point where it's deemed worthless.

That's not good at all

I feel really bad for them icon_sad.gif.

That has to be a killing blow for a company - no profit made at all.

They should of just made Dark Reign 3. icon_confused.gif

Lol, I actually went to the store today and its still in like all the game stores i walked past today! Robbery! icon_razz.gif

Hang on does this mean we still get a physical copy sent or do we have to download it? icon_razz.gif
4 years ago
well, from what i understand, the retail version will now be how to be an "Immortal" where all the freeloaders will be the "Heroes".

so buying the physical game offers benefits in-game.
Actually, my understanding from the above report...

Quote
"Most importantly, the content patch will include a new player category called "Chosen" alongside the existing "Hero" and "Immortal" subscription types. The new "Chosen" player type will be free to download from the developer's Web site and play, and gives access to all game modes and weapons as well as 400 abilities that can be unlocked by playing. Gamers will be able to upgrade their account status to one of the higher levels by purchasing a box copy of the game from Australian retailers"]
So I guess freeloaders are 'Chosen', and then retail copies are 'Hero' as usual, and then people that subscribe are 'Immortal'. That's how I interpret it, anyway. icon_smile.gif

ah ok.

i hadn't really researched the nuances all that much, so thanks for the clarification. icon_y1.gif

i got my copy aswell today, thnx to palgn and to Auran.

Just received my copy. I am not a PC Gamer and am not sure if my specs are up to it. When I try to install it crashes every time. Could anyone tell me is this because My specs may not be up to task?

Regardless thanks Palgn and Auron, if the game doesn't work for me I have a friend who would love it so it would make a good present.

What are your specs teashades? The game uses UE3, but lists an ATI Radeon 9600 (non XT or Pro) as the minimum GPU needed.

Today?? WTF its Saturday??

Yeah, I was wondering how that happened. Good to hear they arrived, though.

It is the graphics card yeah. As I said I am not very computer literate and I just found out what my graphics card is. Its and 9250 model, so not good enough.

Thanks anyway, I guess i will give the game to my friend....
