"Console gamers can now expect the same chilling, suspenseful and fear-filled experience that handheld gamers encountered when we released Silent Hill Origins on the PSP system. This is their chance to learn more of the mystery and mythos surrounding Silent Hill that's been hinted at in earlier games and made the series such a success." says Anthony Crouts, Vice President of Marketing for Konami.
Given that the majority of the Silent Hill series has appeared on the PS2 in the past, it's not surprising that Konami would want to keep that userbase happy by porting the game over to the console.
Origins features a new character, Travis Grady, a trucker with a mysterious past who spends his life on the lonely roads. One night he passes the town of Silent Hill, and of course, that's when the trouble really begins. No release date has been given for the PS2 port, but we'll let you know as soon as it's nailed down. In the meantime, check out our review of the PSP version of the game.
