V8 Supercar Race Driver 2 Confirmed for PS2

PS2 News | Codemasters announce the title is in development for Sony's console. First eight screenshots unveiled.

Codemasters has announced today that V8 Supercar Race Driver 2 will launch on the Playstation 2 in October with all new exclusive content.

Released in April this year on the Xbox, V8 Supercar Race Driver 2 was a top-seller for the Xbox for weeks on end, and promises to sell just as well on the Playstation 2.

V8 Supercar Race Driver 2 will feature full online play for up to eight players, a new circuit for the Playstation 2, expanded championship structure and a replay save feature (which we assume was reserved for the PS2 version).

Gamers will also be treated to a new "Pro-Sim" mode for ultimate realism. For the first eight shots of the game in action direct your cursors to the media panel.

Ha! I knew it would happen. *Nismo goes and says "nyar" to all his friends that said it wouldn't happen*

Anyway in an interview Hyper had with one of the dudes from Codies, he confirmed that the Ps2 version was on the way. Okay it wasn't "confirmed" as such but he still mentioned the Ps2 console when answering questions.

I shall be purchasing it for sure, I had a quick go of the Xbox version and I quite liked it. Hopefully they do add a bit more then just 1 track, but either way it won't affect my purchase..
