The Incredible Hulk will be developed by Radical Games, the folks behind last year’s The Hulk title, and will feature Paul Jenkins (comic-book writer of Spider-Man and The Hulk) as lead scriptwriter as well as original Marvel Comic book artist Bryan Hitch.
In The Incredible Hulk, gamers will be able to explore a more freely accessible world that’ll allow gamers to jump, smash and crush in true Hulk fashion. The game will allow players to create their own weapons from anything they can rip out of the environment and will be able to explore free-roaming non-mission and side mission gameplay.
“The Incredible Hulk will deliver unlimited power and freedom immersed in an authentic world that will engage Hulk fans and core gamers,” said Michael Pole, EVP, Worldwide Studios, VU Games. Ames Kirshen, director of video game development at Marvel Enterprises further added “Vivendi Universal Games and Radical are creating an interactive world where the player will have all of the freedoms and larger than life abilities of the Hulk in enormous and interactive ‘sandbox’ environments which really capture the essence of the character.”
The Incredible Hulk is currently scheduled for a Q3 2005 release. PALGN will have more information as soon as it becomes available.
