PAL Alien Hominid Gets Exclusive Content

PS2 News | Who said waiting was a bad thing?
Zoo Publishing has today announced that Behemoth's Alien Hominid will include additional features exclusive for the PAL release of the game. Slated for the Playstation 2 and Xbox, Alien Hominid is an 2D action packed side-scrolling shooter title with a unique atmospheric feel and style of gameplay that will see players chase aliens around the globe in pursuit of the alien's coveted UFO.

The additional features will include:

- A PDA mini-game that will include 25 of the best fan-built levels from the US version. In addition, a brand new 2-4 player button basher mini-game called ‘All You Can Eat’ will also be included.

- A Replay function that will allow players to rewind the level they’ve just completed and jump back into the action at any point.

- XBox Live content that will enable Xbox Live gamers to download additional levels for their PDA mini-game. Additional rankings such as quickest time, highest kills, building destroyed and so forth will also be included.

Alien Hominid is currently scheduled for release on May 27 on both the Playstation 2 and Xbox.

Great news. Shame about the lack of a GC version, the Hori 'snes' pad is perfect for the game.

I was talking to someone from Zoo Digital the other day about the lack of Gamecube support, and he said that the current Gamecube support in PAL countries just isn't economically viable for Zoo Digital to release Alien Hominid on the Gamecube, therefore they had to look into releasing the game on PS2 and Xbox instead.

He said it was doubtful that a Gamecube version would be released in PAL countries, but they've looked into the possibility. So Gamecube fans still have a 'slim' chance of the game being released, but don't try to lose sleep over it.

Yeah, it makes sense. The US version works with Freeloader anyway so anyone who only has a GC can still play it if they really want to.
