AFL Live 2006 Information

PS2 News | We have ALL the information. Including a name change, a new publisher and the bad news that the game will only be available on PS2. We also have the first screenshots of the game!
In June, 2004, IR Gurus came out with a press release outlining there plans for AFL Live 2005 which was set for Xbox and Playstation 2 in April 2005. Acclaim were going to publish the game.

Today, that news has changed, Acclaim have gone bust and Sony have picked up the AFL rights, meaning the game will be exclusive to the Playstation 2. The title is now called AFL Live 2006 and it will be available in Winter 2005. What a difference nine months makes.

Aside from the features we mentioned in our news article last year, AFL Live 2006 will also support the use of the Eyetoy Camera and will also have two player online play.

PALGN will have more information on AFL Live 2006 as soon as it becomes available. The first screenshots of the game in action can be viewed in our media panel.

AFL rights have always been owned by one company at a time.

However, it sucks that it's limited to the PS2 this time around. I won't be buying a PS2 just for this though.

i do not think any one would bye afl premiership 2005 if there is afl 2006
