Final Fantasy XII theme song unveiled

PS2 News | "Kiss Me Good-bye"
After the announcement at the Square Enix Party that the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children movie will be coming to Japanese theatres, many attendees were happy. However, another more important announcement was made, and as we previously reported, Final Fantasy XII has been delayed a further 2.5 months to March 16 2006.

Company spokespersons attempted to satiate the wounded masses by unveiling FFXII's official theme song, titled "Kiss Me Good-bye." Long time Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu returned to produce the song, and commented on it: "We finished mixing the theme song about one or two weeks ago. It's one of my favorites so far. I've been playing it over and over while driving in my car."

"Kiss Me Good-bye." is sung by vocalist Angela Aki, who is apparently half Japanese, half Italian and half American (?). She was at the event and performed the song live for the audience, in English. Uematsu said they made the song in English because it matched the atmosphere of the game, and it'll also be useful to market FFXII in America.

Anywhoo....hopefully we'll have a PAL release date for FFXII soon.
