LEGO Star Wars: The Original Trilogy revealed

PS2 News | Luke and Leia are back. In LEGO form.
Speculation has been rampant for months, especially given the success of LEGO Star Wars over the past year, but today it was revealed that a version of the game based on the Classic Star Wars trilogy is in development, and expected to be released later this year.

Unfortunately for us, the Official Xbox Magazine has the scoop, so you'll have to pick it up to see the pictures, but the word on the street is that LEGO Star Wars The Original Trilogy will do for the same for the Classic trilogy as it did for the Prequel trilogy, and also allow players to build their own characters and vehicles. The current release date for the game is the northern hemisphere's Autumn, meaning anywhere from September to November - we'd expect ot see the game released on the same platforms as the first.

Lego and Star Wars mix pretty well. Whether they then mix with a game, I don't know, since I haven't played the 1st one, but Lego + Star Wars = good.

Regardless of what darod says, i think the game will be as good as OR better than the original. Have you all heard about the other stuff like bringing the 50 playable characters from the first one over to the 2nd, that means that there will be bit over 100 playable characters, that and being able to customise your own character from other Lego characters, think of the replay value. There is soo much to look forward in this game (being able to ride and dismount any vehicle you come across, being able to fly your vehciles you build from the MiniKits, more Force Powers, bringing back Freeplay), I can't wait till they release more info on this game, and i hope it comes out soon enough.
