Square-Enix announces E3 line-up

PS2 News | Some of them we haven't seen before.
With less than a month until E3, Square Enix has announced its line-up of games that will be available for public viewing on the show floor:

Home Consoles: Final Fantasy XII (PS2), Valkyrie Profiles 2: Silmeria (PS2), Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus (PS2), Dawn of Mana (Seiken Densetsu 4) (PS2), Final Fantasy XI: Treasures of Aht Urhgan (Multi)

Portables: Final Fantasy III (NDS), Valkyrie Profiles: Lenneth (PSP), Seiken Densetsu DS: Children of Mana (NDS), Final Fantasy IV Advance (GBA), Final Fantasy VI (GBA), Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (NDS)

Mobile: Before Crisis - Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy I

Further details of these games can be found via the link above. Obviously, the success of Final Fantasy IV Advance has led to the expansion of the Final Fantasy range on the GBA. The list shows that Square-Enix is also looking at expanding outside their chief FF brand. However, it should be noted that this list does not include the games that may be shown at the Square-Enix press conference. That is, we have yet to see whether we will find out anything about the Xbox 360 project or anything with regards to Final Fantasy XII. Nor is there any word on the PSP project, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.

More is likely to be revealed once E3 gets under way, and when we find out, we'll be sure to let you know.

God forbid they make an original title! There are 13 games there and they're ALL based off old franchises icon_sad.gif

Kinda like Nintendo then?

Seriously, when they make an incredible original game (Vagrant Story) it bombs, so I can see why they'd be hesitant to ditch the words "Final Fantasy," when just having that name on the box will make it sell a gazillion copies.

Interesting that even though they announced their plans for the next 8-12 months for FFXI/Aht Urhgan, they still are having stuff about it at E3.

Most likely a rehash of stuff we already knew though.
