Pre E3 2006: LEGO Star Wars II trailer unleashed

PS2 News | Xbox 360 version on the way too.
Gamers wanting to shoot-up some LEGO AT-ATs in 720p glory will be pleased to hear that LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy will be heading to the Xbox 360, along with all current-generation consoles and handhelds later this year.

The news comes part of the recently announced DVD of the unaltered theatrical releases of the original Star Wars series, which will be released in the US alongside the launch of the LEGO Star Wars sequel on September 12th.

As the name suggests, LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy is an uncanny mock of the original Star Wars trilogy in LEGO form, including Luke’s adventures in becoming a Jedi all the way to the Ewoks from Endor.

To get a glimpse of the upcoming title, be sure to check out the trailer below. Expect more news on the title and its Xbox 360 debut next week.

Can't wait for this game to come out, as of late the original is fairly past its prime (for me anyway).
Bring on the vehicles, character specific moves, bigger levels, more characters, more jokes, customisation & Mini-Kit vehicles that actually do something.

Another aspect which i am interested in also is the whole convert you save file from the original over to the sequel thing.
But about that; do you think there is any chance that characters from Lego Star Wars 1 will gain character specific moves when you convert them to the sequel? (cause that would be soo cool)
