Three new Guitar Hero II tracks revealed
PS2 News | Also, Activision CEO hints at Xbox version.

At the Activate Asia conference today where PALGN was in attendance, three brand spankin' new Guitar Hero II tracks were revealed exclusively to the Australian media. Expect to head bang to "Madhouse" by thrash metal icons Anthrax, glam it up with Motley Crue's "Shout at the Devil", and play along with "Tripping on a Hole in a Paper Heart" by Stone Temple Pilots in the next entry in the series, hopefully out later this year. We had the opportunity to see all three demonstrated and yes, they did indeed rock.
These three new tracks, combined with the initial track list that was named prior to E3, brings the known total up to 11, out of a proposed 55. Quite a few more to be revealed then.
During a Q&A session, Activision CEO Mike Griffith was asked if we’d see Guitar Hero released on Xbox as part of their plan to "expand new IP". He responded "our philosophy is that we develop games across multiple platforms … all our core games will be offered across multiple platforms". That sounds like a "Yes" to us Mike.
We’ll have more coverage from the conference later this week.
