FIFA 07 demo released on the Marketplace

PS2 News | This is the season, apparently.
EA has just released the official demo for FIFA 07 on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The demo weighs in at 827MB. We'd like to tell you exactly what you can do on the demo, but we're still in the process of acquiring it, though we would hasten to guess that the game lets you play a four-minute friendly.

Whilst the PlayStation 2, Xbox, DS and PSP versions of FIFA 07 are already out, the Xbox 360 version is still quite a few weeks away, so it's a good chance for you to check the game out before its release. EA is certainly embracing the Marketplace lately, with a Need for Speed: Carbon demo released only a few days ago.

We'll have our verdict on FIFA 07 rather shortly, as soon as we can pull Chris-Leigh out of the myriad of football-themed review code he's currently buried under.

I like it, but that's probably because it's trying so hard to be like Pro Evo icon_razz.gif

Passing feels a bit laboured, you can't really ping the ball around as quick as you would like to but on the whole it's decent. At least when it outsells PES I won't be so bitter seeing as it's not a terrible game this time around. The music is horrible though as per usual. I don't mind the speed of it, I just wish passing was a bit quicker. Simple passes are often intercepted by defenders because passes are often too slow to get to the player. You'd expect this to happen with poorer players but when you've got Ronaldinho and Deco passes coming up short something is not quite right. I'm enjoying the game though, still playing the demo after a few hours, I just wish this and PES weren't released on the same day icon_sad.gif
