Dirge of Cerberus gets PAL date

PS2 News | Finally, we might add.
It's been confirmed by Square Enix that Dirge of Cerberus - Final Fantasy VII will appear in PAL regions on the PlayStation 2 on November 17th. The game, a spin-off from the PSone's much-lauded Final Fantasy VII, is set three years after the events depicted in FF VII and stars Vincent Valentine.

The PAL version of the title will also feature a few upgrades from the original Japanese release, with over 40 new missions, an Ex Hard mode and improved moves and abilities for Vincent all chucked in, presumably as compensation for the eleven month wait we've endured, an NTSC-to-PAL conversion rate that would have made Nintendo circa 1998 blush.

It's also worth noting that November 17th is shaping up to be a jolly pricey affair for PAL gamers, what with this, Lumines II and Gears of War all out on the same day. Almost makes you glad Sony put back the PS3, eh?

These extras were included in the US release so nothing special there for us PAL gamers.
*Sigh* And it seems the NTSC-to-PAL conversion delays will ring true for FFXII as well.
