Getaway to Sydney

PS2 News | Brendan McNamara, director of SCEE's multi-million selling title The Getaway, has organised a new development studio in Sydney to start working on titles for new Sony hardware.
The studio is named Team Bondi, and is mostly made up of members of SCEE's Soho studio in London, and has an exclusive publishing deal with SCEA.

The team has been at work for nearly six months, researching technical information for an original title set to appear on "third generation PlayStation" hardware, which could mean the PS3 or the PSP.

"It’s nice to be home after so many years abroad," expressed McNamara, "and working on an exciting third generation PlayStation title. It’s made the transition so much easier having some of my friends from The Getaway team here with me and we are all looking forward to the massive challenge of the new title we are planning."

A new Getaway game is underway at Team Soho and is expected to be released later in the year - with a public showing of the title at E3 in May.
