Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters coming to the PlayStation 2?

PS2 Rumour | Makes sense.
American retailer Gamestop has posted up a listing for Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters on the PlayStation 2, those eagle eyed writers at Joystiq have reported, indicating that Ratchet and Clank may be making one final appearance on the PlayStation 2.

Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters was originally released on the PSP earlier this year, to great reception. Size Matters wasn't developed by Insomniac who developed the previous Ratchet and Clank titles but was still a great game, which suffered a few control issues because of the PSP's controls. An appearance on the PlayStation 2 would fix these issues but also open the game up to a larger audience. For now this can definitely be filed under rumour, but if Sony confirm anything we'll let you know.

Hrmmm I don't like this habit of backporting PSP games to the PS2. I don't mind. It can only end in a worse product on the PS2 and is a bit of a cash in.

So does this mean we'll see a God of War port from the PSP->PS2? I hope not.

But it is generally cheaper too, and I would rather pay less and have worse graphics (maybe a few less features too) than pay more and have better ones, but that obviously does not apply to everyone.

Well it's now apparently been confirmed:

And says it should be released on March 19th...

Well, I for one would buy it. R&C are a fave series of my family, and the PSP version was a bit twitchy in the controls department. If we can have a go at it on the PS2 then I'm all for it.

Although... might have been a better bet to release it as a PS3 store download?
