Resistance 2 official

PS3 News | Can you resist a sequel?
Neogaf member Wollan has posted the first details of Resistance 2 on the Neogaf forums. The source of the news is the latest issue of Game Informer, which has the first information on the game.

According to the forum member Resistance 2 will be out between September to November 2008. The game will focus on Nathan Hale once again and is set in the US. There will be one separate story based campaign supporting two players offline and eight players online.

There will be dedicated servers for multiplayer with support for up to sixty players online and there will also be lobbies for individual squads. Classes will be important in Resistance 2 with each soldier having several different classes including heavy, special ops and medic. There will also be partially randomised geometry in certain level spots, which should keep things fresh.

Once we get the first details of the game from Sony we'll report back. The first big title for the PlayStation 3 for Christmas 2008 has been revealed.

and here are some scans of the game.

60 player online is absolutely brilliant and 8 player online co-op is wicked.

The game also looks pretty amazing, even if the scans are a bit blurry.

Cannot wait for this one.
