Turok winners announced

PS3 News | So, do you rock?

A few weeks ago we teamed up with Disney Interactive Studios to giveaway six copies of Turok for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. We asked our entrants to answer in 25 words or less "What would you need to survive at all costs against the ruthless army and ravenous creatures?"

We're pleased to announce that our six winners are;

My own dinosaur would be good. I mean who doesn't like dinosaur vs dinosaur battles, they're always good, Except Jurassic Park 3...

A clown suit. They'd be looking for a guy in camo gear so i can only assume that they'd leave me be

It's quite easy to look at the winner's list and say "oh dear they suck", are you assuming everyone who enters enters with some incredibly hilarious answer and we choose the least funny ones?

Sometimes you work with what you've got, complaining gets nowhere though, especially considering we go out of our way to organise these competitions. Jeremy and myself coordinate all the competitions, arrange auction items, judge winners and then line up another 5 comps for next month, it's a task and a half, a task not worth the effort if people are just going to complain.

Oh i found another quote complaining while looking through the MOH Airborne topic;

i was struggling to come up with an answer, i think i said something like "all i'd require is some IDDQD" or something similar.

i quite like all the PS3 winners though.

The weird thing is, I could've sworn that exact same joke already won one of the previous contests from a while back...

If I remember correctly, mine was something along the lines of "I came to kick ass and chew bubble gum and I'm all out of gum... so uh, I guess my answer would be bubble gum?" Though, I think I worded it a little bit better than that.

I have to agree that most of those were pretty bad, but I guess that just shows how bad the ones that didn't win must have been!

I can't remember if I entered...but I never come up with anything good anyway

Yeah, i think the clown suit quip also won the call of duty comp?The one where it asks what you would take into hostile/enemy territory or something like that.

But regardless the point still stands, if those entries won(which aren't bad entries pers'e btw) then imagine what didn't win.

Bottom line is if you think you could have done better, then why didn't you win?So far the only person who has bagged out on the winners and simultaneously posted there entry is retro.Who's entry sucked harder anyways.

Really though it's getting a bit tiresome the whinging-what did you do when you got icecream after dinner?Whinge it didn't have sprinkles?Think about the crappy gaming sites that have no icecream, only bitter, bitter rhubarb.

While I agree with you in essence Jibbs, it's not exactly rocket science to see why some people may be peeved that such an effortless answer like "Pants" and "A Sisqo cd" have knocked out some possible diamonds in the rough. I mean, a Sisqo cd? That's like a lame joke you make to your guy friends in grade school. If you're going to make a "stupid artist" joke, put some thought into it and somehow make a better reference to dinosaurs with it... Barbara Streisand would have even been a better artist to mention, not just because she's prehistoric like dinosaurs but also because she played that huge robotic dinosaur-like creature in South Park.

Congrats to the winners though I'm sure there were more golden entries that took longer than 2 seconds to think of and type on a keyboard that got overlooked on this one. I'm kind of curious now to see what the other entries were because I highly doubt that there wasn't something better in there.

I'm not goin to post individual entries, but use the following formula.

Entries - Chuck Norris References - McGuyver References - Console Wars garbage = entries.

You've narrowed down nigh on 80% of entries by then.

Congrats to the winners, and i guess good on that guy for winning with pants.

I give it to Brad_sickness, for the They Live quote ripped off by duke nukem, at least that was clever, pants?

Anything that rowdy roddy piper says is gospel and it didn't involve chuck norris or borat, but then again i guess pants didn't either

Oh damn, comps over? I think mine had something to do with Jeff Goldblum with flares, distracting dinos while i run the **** away.

As for the "pants" answer, i'd have gone without any. Them dinos would take one look at my junk and run away crying.

Ok i lie, they'd most likely die of laughter.
