I know I shouldn't get my hopes too far up, but I'll be damned if those aren't some fine looking shots. That last one is almost beautiful.

Want. Now.

^Yup.

Though more than anything, I'm dying to know how that super-mutant in the first shot landed in that position to begin with...

This is going to be the best game ever. Cant wait to getting my power suit aye icon_wink.gif

Looking at the first sht looks like its possible to aim for the head/arms/legs etc and if its a critical hit or whatever you can get a headshot and their head will blow off gears of war style. Considering in this day and age, fallout 2 pretty much had me interested for a month or two, This is going to be crazy.

^Yes blink, the way combat will be resolved has pretty much been revealed already.

But that last shot looks bloody fantastic. I need to find another copy of the first two and play them again.

I am looking forward to this game. But what if it's to violent and it gets censored? I am always worried of that happening.

I don't really get what's going on in the second shot but they all look brilliant, can't wait.

If it isn't top down and turn based like fallout 2 then I won't be buying it till it's in the bargain bin. I'm sick of games wrecking gameplay for a more visually stunning camera angle.

If it's Oblivion with guns instead of swords I'll be getting it.

Along with RE5 and Bioshock for the PS3 this is my most anticipated game. I didn't really get into oblivion, seemed a bit long-winded and boring. Basically wasn't a huge fan of the settings either. Much prefer a post-apocolyptic warzone.

check EB.

the Fallout Collection is currently $15 in their sale, which is almost criminally good value.

Tipping this for game of the year.

Hopefully the quest/story will be a little deaper than oblivion. None of those generic dungeons either please. Dungeons are fine, but not when they all look and feel the same as the last as every single other dungeon.

Really looking forward to this, just need to get my ass in gear and play through the first 2 i bpught from Eb's the other day before this comes out icon_biggrin.gif

Think this is my most anticipated game this year, above all the other quality like MGS4, Gears2, Fable2.

Cant wait for it!

So that begs the question of why that mutant's head is actually a leg...

I doubt a single shot could flip anyone like that.

Yer im hoping that if there are like 300 dungeans they are not just the same room from different angles :/...

As for turn based i was hoping fallout would be sorta realtime mixed with turnedbased, that makes absolutely no sense but what i mean is, you could be given say a few seconds to move, say five? depending on your speed or whatever, and you could walk around the battlefeild lke you would in a normal fps or whatever and take your possie, then you could take your shot etc. I hope they also utilise cover or soemthing icon_biggrin.gif

^What you're thinking of is the combat system used in the old-school Might and Magic Series. Can't remember the abbreviation though.

I suspect however, it will be more like NeverWinter Nights (you can pause the game at any point and line up actions), but with a limit to the number of attacks you can string together based on your abilities.

I'm guessing you haven't played the previous Fallout's. There's some badass weapons in the Fallout Universe.

I'm a little disappointed if they don't go real time for combat because I think that Fallout would really benefit from the "deepness" of the original combat system ( with the same damage criteria of legs, arms, torso, head etc) in a real time environment. Time will tell though and I have high hopes for this one. So long as the robotic dog is back, I'm sold.

You guys do know this game is a first person shooter, and there is a button that switches to third person? I have seen screens of first person, so it is obviously going to be real time combat.

^Yes, it's real time. However, I'm almost certain there is an option to pause and string up actions. It was in an interview with Bethesda somewhere. Not sure if that's still the case, or if such pauses are time-limited, though.
