I think its a little quick for the next Skate to come out. I wonder what it can do to seem like another revolution? Unless they will follow TH and just reproduce a same game new place formula.

EA can sure milk things at times.

Yeah, but if anything is to come from skateboarding game history, the second one is always the best.

I think they need to one up the video controls allow a hell of a lot more flexibility in the sort of stuff you can do with the footage, that'd make it hella sweet.

Holy crap, you can finally jump and leave the board on the ground? That is sweet.

Lip Tricks being added is going to make this more fun, but I wonder how you'll end up doing it on the controller if they're trying to keep it natural? Grab the board going up the Quarter Pipe?

They might have to introduce a deadly button control for that.

I reckon they should have more things like the X games, going off massive ramps and such

While keeping the player stuck to the board in Skate sounded like a good idea, god damn it was annoying to have to go the long way around to get up half a dozen stairs, or take 5-6 attempts to ollie up a six-inch kerb lip. That's what made me put it down after a couple of hours and never look back.

Apparently flatland tricks are making it in as well - not to mention it all runs at 60fps now. Sounds like a good enough sequel to me.

I'm pretty sure you can get off the board in the sequel now, which I'm pretty sure would make walking back up the stairs after an epic rail encounter would work better than skating around half the block.

I'm just hoping those horrible loading times after placing a point to go back to, then stacking 10m away from it disappear.

Oh, and the ragdoll effects that kick in immediately and show your skater not even attempting to not fall on the ground after hitting the curb. What was that factor 5 thing they were demonstrating with Indiana Jones on a Rope Bridge? They need that in skate 2.

Don't count on it... those load times are a by-product of the fact that you could skate from one end of the city to the other without seeing a loading screen.

Those load times didn't worry me... but the load times for trick comps were a massive pain - 3 rounds, then 2 minutes of loading to play another 3 rounds. I pray you can increase the number of rounds now.
