The first one amazed me with it's beautiful graphics, and these screens just have me in awe. The graphics are jawdropping to me. Lets hope the story is longer this time around!

It looks exactly like drakes 1! which was an awesome game but it doesn't seem like they've improved on anything at first glance. I just hope the game's dynamics change.

The original was some of the most fun I've had this generation, and this one's looking very pretty.

I don't think they need to change the games's dynamics very much. The first game was simply awesome. I suppose they could tweak the games duck and cover system slightly, but overall the first game was excellent. I loved the way the AI moved around whilst hiding behind cover and changed where they popped up. This meant that each run through the game was unique and really added to the replay value. Already pumped for this one!

Texture resolution increase = ridiculous. Considering how technically impressive the original was (dare I say, still one of the most impressive technical achievements on any console), it's amazing that Naughty Dog have even further optimised their texture layering etc.

Definitely excited for this.

I hope it is a good game with a little more than the 1st. By that, I mean by upping everything else other than the game. The 1st thing had everything a conventional DVD special edition would have with extra features and stuff. I want more!!

I have to agree with Denny. The textures are simply marvelous. I love the small details put into the larger picture. Anti-aliasing looks top notch too. I think this game trumps all other console games in terms of graphics.

Maybe it's just me, and though I agree the textures look absolutely phenomenal, the game seems to lack "depth". In other words, those screens don't give the impression of a three dimensional environment, it all looks very flat. I can't quite put my finger on it but there's something really jarring about the visuals, maybe it's because none of them really give a good view of the distance, I dunno, but there's something off.

Impressive though, just for the sheer detail that's gone into it.

Best looking game this gen imo. Better than Killzone 2. ND has also added stealth elements to Uncharted 2. It is going to be amazing.

Definitely looking forward to this. I only just started playing the original (was a 360 exclusive gamer for a while) and am loving it. There was room for a few improvements in the first (though I think it was pretty close to perfect), so here's hoping #2 really delivers.

Isn't this actually our third look at Uncharted 2? I mean the trailer in the snow, the trailer of him in the train then these screens?

Perhaps they mean our first "in-game" look? Mind you, in the first Uncharted the game looked as good as the cinematics...

Why do these people keep making me want a PS3? I can't afford to spend $700 on a console right now dammit.

this is deffinetly a day 1 purchase, im not waiting around for months like i did with uncharted, i couldnt believe i put that one off for so long, it is probably one of my all time favourite games and which will be for many years to come.

i dont play much of stories in games because i lose interest to easily but the first one kept me interested for 3 play throughs in a couple of weeks and still more to come before the second comes out.
i thought it didnt really need a step up on the visuals i thought they were great to start with, so thats just a huge bonus there, and now its all fingers crossed on how the story and gameplay is, hopefully its changed for the better.

I agree with all your points john_solids. Except I actually had the game in my posession for months before playing it! The pace that the whole thing took off at was just brilliant. The first 5 minutes felt like the finale of a really good Indiana Jones movie.
