This week's PlayStation Store update

PS3 News | Titanalicious.
This week, the PlayStation Store update was a little more minimal than we've come to expect, although there were a couple of notable standouts amongst the sea of game packs. The Unreal Tournament 3 Titan Pack finally hit, while Rock Band players get to rejoice in a trio of songs from SpongeBob SquarePants.

First up, the demo for Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce Demo on PSP allows up to four friends to form a strikeforce with history's mightiest warriors, with new air fighting techniques, new 'Fury' transformations and completely redesigned levels. The demo weighs in at 255 MB.

A plethora of add-on game packs hit today, including the free Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 'Isles of Conflict' pack, containing three new battlegrounds. The Street Fighter IV 'Classic Pack' will set you back AUD $6.95, and contains costumes for Guile, Blanka, Dhalsim, Gen and Fei Long. Pain gets two new characters, Brock Lee and Ao No Kutsu for AUD $1.75 each. Sonic Unleashed has been updated with a new 'Chun-nan Adventure Pack' with four new stages and two new missions for AUD $6.95. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm also receives Storm Pack 9 and 10 for free, with new versus events and characters including the First and Second Hokage.

The free Unreal Tournament 3 'Titan Pack', after the debacle last week where players found that the 'Titan Mutator' pack didn't work, is now up. It's packed with a nearly a full game's worth of content, including 16 new environments, two new playable characters, two new game modes and new vehicles and weapons.

Rock Band fans have a lot to get excited over this week, as the store was updated with 'C'mon C'mon' by the Von Bondies, 'Don't Stop Believing' by Journey, 'Geraldine' by Glasvegas and 'Heartbreaker' by Pat Benatar for AUD $2.45 each. For SpongeBob SquarePants fans, the songs 'I Can't Keep My Eyes Off of You', 'The Best Day Ever' and 'Where's Gary?' are now also up individually for AUD $1.30 or $3.75 together. Guitar Hero World Tour gets 'Debaser', 'Monkey Gone to Heaven' and 'The Sad Punk' by the Pixies for AUD $3.45 each, or together for AUD $9.25

Finally, there is a Split Second Announcement Trailer, Everybody's Golf: World Tour Extra Excitement Trailer, R.U.S.E. Announcement Trailer, a Rag Doll Kung Fu theme and wallpaper, as well as a Pain Brock Lee theme and an El Chile Grande theme.

Adam, I don't suppose you'd be open to a suggestion for these updates? Could you add a list at the bottom?

I find it very hard to see at a glance what's been released, without reading paragraphs of text. I like the descriptions sometimes, especially if I'm not familiar with something, but I don't always feel like wading through all the text.

Look for the words in italics.

Thanks for commenting, grim-one. I've been following the template from previous PlayStation Store updates before I started doing them, but if you're finding it hard to read through, then I'll take it into consideration for the next update icon_smile.gif.

I was thinking the same thing as grim-one, a list would definitely help.

Hmm, that Sonic Unleashed DLC sounds enticing. I may look into it. But first, must download Titan Pack. The issues with it last week have just made me want it more.
