Next batch of Guitar Hero Greatest Hits songs announced

PS3 News | Halfway there.
Last week it was revealed that the original Guitar Hero 'won' the first poll to determine the order in which the set list for the upcoming Guitar Hero Greatest Hits would be announced.

The winner of the week two poll is, strangely enough, Guitar Hero II. Hmm. There are nineteen chosen songs, which are:
  • Alice in Chains - Them Bones
  • Avenged Sevenfold - Beast And The Harlot
  • Danzig - Mother
  • Foo Fighters - Monkey Wrench
  • Iron Maiden - The Trooper
  • Jane’s Addiction - Stop!
  • Kansas - Carry On Wayward Son
  • Lamb of God - Laid To Rest
  • Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird
  • Mötley Crüe - Shout At The Devil
  • Nirvana - Heart-Shaped Box
  • Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name
  • Reverend Horton Heat - Psychobilly Freakout
  • Rush - YYZ
  • Stone Temple Pilots - Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart
  • The Police - Message In A Bottle
  • The Sword - Freya
  • Warrant - Cherry Pie
  • Wolfmother - Woman
There are 48 master tracks in total coming our way in Guitar Hero Greatest Hits, and in combination with last week's fourteen, this makes 33 which have been confirmed to date. It seems therefore there's not a whole lot to come between Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks The 80s and Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock. Remember you can visit GreatestHits.GuitarHero.com if you wish to vote to determine which game's songs will be made public next.

Why don't they just quit all this Expansion packs and concentrate on putting music on the store. I would love to download some of these for GHWT but there is no way I'm going to pay for a full game. It's all getting out of control!

You mean the year-delayed Rock Band, what looks like is going to be another year-delayed Rock Band 2, or Beatles Rock Band, or Lego Rock Band?

I'd second that if it wasn't cheaper to buy a new retail game than an equivalent amount of songs off of XBLM/PSN.

It's very easy to import the games.

If you import from the UK it is.

I've had it since December last year. Works like a charm.

It's actually even easier than the PS3.

Unlike the PS3, Australian Xbox 360 DLC will work with the UK version of Rock Band 2.

I'm glad to see a lot more songs from GH1 and GH2 than GH3 and the 80's one. I hope they don't change the note charts for the guitars, or atleast include the option to play either the old or new note charts.
