PS3 to get exclusive Arkham Asylum content

PS3 News | The Joker announced as exclusive playable character.
Co-publishers Eidos and Warner Brothers have just announced that the Clown Prince of Crime, the Joker, will be available as "an exclusive playable character" for the PlayStation 3 edition of Batman: Arkham Asylum.

The Joker will be playable in the exclusive 'Joker Challenge Maps', and is set to arrive as free downloadable content, though a timeframe for the release has not been revealed.

Batman: Arkham Asylum is slated to arrive in stores this June.

so is this confirmation that the Joker isn't merely a skin to the normal challenge maps, but rather an altogether new character, with different abilities and tactics?

hmm, definitely going to have to consider changing platforms...

Details on exactly what is in the DLC are paper thin at the moment, Eidos and Warners have merely confirmed the Joker as a playable character.

The story broke as result of this little billboard appearing in Home overnight.

The videos for this game looked good. I wonder what special skills the Joker will have? Electric handshake buzzer? Button-hole Flower that squirts nitric acid? Exploding whoopie cushions? =)

Funny, I can't hear all those PS3 owners who cried about Fallout3 having 360/PC DLC all the sudden...

He'll come to 360 as well in a matter of time anyways. Didn't they do that with SC4? They made Vader exclusive and Yoda exclusive to 360, but they made them available as DLC for both characters shortly after, or somethin like that.

I was one of those to be annoyed at missing out on the DLC, so excuse me for not being on PALGN every second to be able to post something to appease you 2 seconds after the article was put up. I don't know what you're trying to get at, there's nothing wrong with PS3 owners being disappointed about missing out on extra content such as the Fallout 3 or Tomb Raider DLC. Just like there's nothing wrong with 360 owners being disappointed on missing out on this. I don't really know what you're asking for...
