MAG officially dated

PS3 News | Just missing the Christmas window.
Confirming recent speculation that the game wouldn't make it in time for the mad Christmas rush, Sony has confirmed that Zipper Interactive's MAG will be released in 2010.

The PlayStation 3's massive multiplayer shooter, which boasts 256 player servers, is now officially scheduled for release in North America on 26 January 2010. At this time Sony has not confirmed release details for other parts of the world.

Smart move. Cause I doubt this could compete with Modern Warfare 2 if it was released this year.

From the previews I have seen MAG hasnt ticked all my boxes as of yet. I am on the fence and I guess will wait til it gets closer to release date to decide if im going to buy it or not.

The whole idea of 256 players is very cool, lets hope they can pull it off sucessfully.

I dont know how efficient their server architecture will be, but hosting 256 players with little to no latency sounds almost impossible.

It would be truly phenomenal if it did work though. I cant imagine how huge the maps will be!
