Michael Jackson PS3 bundle in Japan

PS3 News | Sony, are you okay? Are you okay Sony? Seriously... Are you guys okay?

If the Final Fantasy XIII PS3 bundle wasn't enough, Japanese gamers are once again recieving a very special PS3 bundle this month, the This Is It bundle.

The bundle will include a black PS3, a 120 GB Hard Disk Drive, a DualShock 3 controller and the blu-ray release of This Is It.

This Is It is a documentary film about the late Michael Jackson and the blu-ray disc will come with an exclusive PS3 wallpaper.

So, all that makes this bundle different from the others is a bluray and a theme?

Cash grab much?

I think it would have been more appropriate if the PS3 had some sort of artwork or something printed on it.

Haha im quite fond of the subheading.

The bundle on the other hand is pretty weak, cant see it being a hardware seller and can't really see the point of it at all to be honest.

It is utter garbage...the only reason someone would buy this is if it's the same price/cheaper than the regular PS3, or it is the only one available in store. The subtext should have an air of sarcasm about it, this is just a pathetic cash in on Michael Jackson's name. I also believe Sony should be bundling their GAMING CONSOLE with an actual GAME, not a $30 blu-ray movie...

I think there are a lot of MJ fans in Japan, therefore the bundle... Sony are trying to push the PS3 as an entertainment devie, not just a game console..

What i would have liked to have seen done would be that package plus a ps3 version of a Michael Jackson SINGSTAR of course with mics included, then both the "entertainment" and "games" sides of their console would have been catered for...

They are MASSIVE fans of Michael Jackson in Japan. It must be really weird not being able to understand your favorite singer but I guess all the weeaboos experience this everday

Its actually a good idea. If there was something music related I could agree with my fellow Japanese peers about in terms of music it was either Beatles or Michael Jackson.
