Street Fighter III characters join the cast of Super Street Fighter IV

PS3 News | Street Fighter III: 4th strike.
Hardcore Street Fighter fans will be pleased to know that Capcom has finally answered their prayers, by bringing back three Street Fighter III characters in Super Street Fighter IV.

Ibuki, Makoto and Dudley will be joining Guy, Adon, Juri, Dee Jay, T.Hawk and the previous Street Fighter IV warriors, in what may be the best Street Fighter roster we have seen since Street Fighter Alpha 3.

Street Fighter III is considered by many to be one of the most underated fighting games ever made. The game is cherished by its fans for its cool and unorthodox characters, beautiful 2D graphics, groovy music and parry intensive gameplay.

You can check out all the new characters in Super Street Fighter IV by watching the trailer below.

Makoto and Ibuki look like they have some style but I admit I have no idea how they play.

Sin Edit: Swearing bad.

I was hoping for Yang and Yun, as they were/are the characters I play as most in 3rd Strike

My friend is loving this because Makoto and Ibuki are his two mains in 3S. I wonder how Makoto's SA3 works. Parrying doesn't exist anymore, so I wonder if that super will be practical at all. I don't know if the focus parry will simply work well with it. I'm hoping she can at least block with that super now.

I really didn't like the designs of any of the new SF3 characters bar those 3 and Yun (which is one of the reasons SF3 was a bit lackluster for me). Perfect for me. Pretty much every character I could want is in SSF4.

I kinda agree with leon, seemed to me that SF3 chars were too stretchy.
If anything i think that SfII got it at its peak, i mean ever past that except the variations on sf2 that made it cheap with the further iterations of it having the parry system, well if you are a freak you can defeat any opponent, otherwise you are going to go up against a freak of equal potential and it is going to result ina fight that is going to be a parry fest.

I'd link the vid of the sf3 championship against dudley and hugo but atm i cant be bothered finding it but it was an utter joke of epic proportions.
Every single hit got parried, im talking even the multi hit combo's.

This **** needs to get back to basics and remove all this cheap **** parry counter bs.

I thought seeing parry after parry was exciting. It shows that opponents are skillfully and knowingly readings each others movements. I disagree about parries being branded as cheap because it takes skill to be good at it.

Yes they are very exciting indeed and i totally love seeing a parry fest.Just as long as I am not on the receiving end lol.Having someone that parries every single attack and super to me, a person that doesn't put too much into the games than the combo system (sure i can parry not too shabbily either) but there are some players that are absolute freaks at the parry system.
Without that system at least it makes it a bit fairer to the casual player.Maybe even an option to not have the parry system would at least be a nice little touch.
