Rocket Knight to be revived next month

PS3 News | A little piece of old school gaming goes new school.

It has been a long time between drinks, but Konami has advised that Rocket Knight will be making a return to the gaming world.

The rocket-powered possum Sparkster will embark on a new entry in the classic 2D side-scrolling action series next month with Rocket Knight set to appear on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

While keen gamers will have to wait until May to get their hands on the game, you can view the game in action with the latest Rocket Knight screenshots and trailer below.

Looks great! but not happy with his new design...its too...western children's book like..

His old anime esque design was edgy and cool

The Mega Drive original was amazing... one of the best 16 bit games ever!

I've been hoping this would've been made into a XBL game for a while now and it's finally happened. Rocket Knight Adventures was one of the best games for the Mega Drive/Genesis and definitely a challenge especially in the later levels. This is definitely going to be a day one purchase for me.

It looks good. But mostly just makes me want to play Rocket Knight Adventures. (Which looks better.)

I had totally forgotten about this series. I rented the Mega Drive game a few weeks in a row trying to beat the original.
