Players will once again be tasked with surviving all manner of catastrophes as they escape a city in ruins, lending a hand to those in need of aid that they meet along the way. Disaster Report 4 intends to include over sixty characters to interact with, making it the most robust package in the franchise yet. Players will be able to enter and explore ruined buildings, as well as make use of any items they come across, such as crutches should your legs get too injured. There's also a new 'cleanliness' meter. The dirtier and more uncomfortable your character gets, the higher their stress level. We all know stress is bad, and that the best solution to calm those nerves is to...go to the toilet? That's right, Disaster Report 4 will have us keeping our cleanliness meter high by taking much needed toilet breaks.
On the player character front, fans will be able to fully customise their character's gender, face and hair style, and play dolly with over one hundred items of clothing that can be collected throughout the game.
There have been three Disaster Report titles so far, and only one failed to make it out of Japan. Hopefully Disaster Report 4 will head to our shores sometime in the future, as the game is set to support Sony's new Move peripheral, 5.1 surround sound, and even 3D display. In the meantime, Japan will be enjoying this game sometime later this year.
