Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath remake comes to PlayStation 3

In what seems to be the first step of Just Add Water's revival of the Oddworld franchise, VG247 has confirmed that the original 2005 Xbox exclusive Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath will be making its revamped way over to the PlayStation 3.

Rebuilt for the new system, the game will render at 720p with additional graphical enhancements, such as normal mapping and self shadowing. Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath on PS3 will also come with re-mastered dialogue, support for Sony's Move peripheral, and a few other goodies that the developers don't want to spoil at this point.

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath for the PlayStation 3 will not be released as a retail game, but will instead be available for purchase and download on the PlayStation Network sometime around Easter next year.

I was almost angry because I finally got an xbox last month to play this game. But its only a download *phew*.

This is awesome. I've always wanted to play this game, but the 360's inability to emulate it has kept me from doing so. Move support should be good too.

Bahhh I could never play this game last gen because it was on Xbox and I had a PS2.

Now it's on PS3 and I have an Xbox 360 =/

It's like I was just never meant to play it...

I look forward to playing this. I never had an Xbox back in the day and it isn't compatible with the 360. Wasn't it announced for the PC a while back, though? An Oddworld Compilation, I'm pretty sure. I wonder if that's still on.
