E3 2006: New Virtua Fighter 5 screens

PS3 News | Tekken it to another level?

A few days ago we revealed that Virtua Fighter 5, currently ripping up in Japanese arcades, would be coming exclusively to the PS3. Well, we just got our hands on ten fresh new screenshots of the game, and if anything looks next generation, it's this. The character models look as detailed as anything we've yet seen, especially compared to the disappointing Tekken 6 screens from yesterday. Although it has to be said, there does seem to be quite a difference in detail between the shots with two fighters at once and shots with a single character posing (compare pics 1 and 2 for example), so maybe the better looking shots here are from the intro video or something? You can never be sure these days...

Virtua Fighter 5 is being developed by Sega's AM2 studio, and is expected to be released for PS3 sometime in 2007.
