Sony fans moan about Devil May Cry 4

PS3 News | So Capcom responds.
Never underestimate the power of the fanboy. After Capcom recently announced that Devil May Cry 4 would be appearing on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the Sony fanboys came out in force, even starting a petition to register their seething discontent.

9,000 signatures later, and Capcom switched to damage limitation mode, with Senior director of strategic planning and research Christian Svensson telling the Capcom forums, "We are certainly moved that people are so passionate about our products that they would go to such extremes.

"At the same time we feel that allowing more people access to our content pleases far more people than it displeases (after all, we're not denying DMC4 to anyone that was already going to get it). It really is the best decision for the company and for consumers."

Why did Capcom listen to them?? They're just useless f*** fanboys.

As long as they put as much effort into each version as they would if it were an exclusive, then this is best for everyone.

I really hope they say something along the lines of:

'Get over it you simple minded hacks'

*reads article*

Oh... cop out.

If each of those 9000 signatures buy say maybe 100 copies to cover the amount sold by the xbox360 version, they can keep it a PS3 exclusive, but i bet none of those peeps would do that.

I dont even understand what the big deal is? Its not like they are canning the PS3 version or crippling it, they have no right to bitch.
this is so stupid, complaining about a move that will make the game more successful and ensure even more will follow.
i can't see what the problem is. they are trying to broaden the audience that they will have access to which mean that they will probably sell more copys. the more copys they sell the more likely there will be another one to come

I wonder if the same thing would have happened if say, Mario or Pokemon were ported to sony. I feel dirty just saying that... but I don't think I'd wail and gnash my teeth and cry like a widdle fanboy making up "online petitions" LOL!
Man how pathetic... they're all like "OH NOEZ, XSUX360 can't hav mi gamez der SONY GAMEZ!!!! we can't compete on an even playing ground!!!!111"

doesn't say alot for their faith in the "power of the PS3" bringing a superior experience that folks will choose over the 360 version does it?

EDIT: did anyone CHECK those "signatures"? I'm seeing more people "signing" that petition on order to BAG IT OUT and point out how childish it is! HAHAHAHA!

Anyone wanna count the number of sigs from people ACTUALLY supporting the petition?

edit 2:
not to mention all the Bot-Spam "Saving up to 70\% on the meds is reality now!"
i think that is a little different too. mario and pokemon are first party where as DMC was third party.

i do think that they have over reacted though

You people should really read some of these "signatures" as I mentioned above I'm seeing far more spam, and people sticking the boot into such a silly "petition" than "real" supporters...

Plus some are great for a laugh

" UGLY MICROSOFT ARE UGLY AND SO IS THEIR CONSOLE!!"

"a/s/l? buttsecks?"

"WHY ARE SONY FANBOYS SO RETARDED!?!?! IF YOU BOYCOTT THIS GAME IT WILL BECOME A 360 EXCLUSIVE. MAN YOU GUYS HAVE DICKS FOR YOUR BRAINS."

"STRIKE DOWN UNBELIEVERS IN THE HOLY SONY NAME, THE NAME OF SONY MAKE MY PENIS ERECT. LET US MASTURBATE FURIOUSLY TO THE NAME OF SONY"

" how dare capcom try to maximize profits!!!"

"Waughhhhhh"

Fanboy may cry,

I bet more than half of them still buy the game.

Nate, that is bloody hilarious!

Let us masturbate furiously to the name of Sony!!

But seriously, why cry for? I'd love to see if they lost Metal Gear of Final Fantasy exclusivity.

I'm assuming that those people are hardcore sony fans and that by 'sharing' the game across platforms kinda gave them a ball tap, only with a sledge hammer.

On the other hand i would be one of the fanboy's crying if we were to loose ffxiii or mgs4, so i guess i better head down to the store and pick up some tissues (for crying purposes of course)

I can't believe that they are having a cry over this. You're still getting the game you idiots! Shut up and get over it!

Pffft... online petitions aren't worth the paper that they're written on.

I'd like to present this open letter to all the hardcore fanboys out there that feel cheated about DMC4:

That is all.

end of the day, whether people like it or not, they need to see that capcom is a company. companies like money, and money outweighs loyalties - somehow I doubt the sony fanboys will whinge when they get dead rising and lost planet (I would be pretty surprised if those two DID stay 360 exclusive without M$oft handing capcom a mysterious bulging burlap sack with a dollar sign on it...)

They didn't even check what the majority of signatures were... it's easy to see that the majority of the signatures are simply spam and people aren't really mouthing off on the game / company in a sense.

"commitment to Sony"

Hey fanboys, ummm, errr RE4 (best game they've released this past 5 years) was originally a Gamecube exclusive

I hate when people say something like that.Don't just blame Sony fanboys.I dislike when somone says something like that, blaming one party when they are all the same. All fanboys are retarded no matter which company they barrack for.

LOL

Sure I was disappointed to hear that DMC4 was going mutliplatform, because I'm used to it being a Sony machine game, but all in all i don't really care. This news is hilarious.

perhaps the best response i've seen
Chris = legend of wit (however displeasing the title appears)

i can understand why DMC fans would be upset so please, people, take it easy. Im sure that everyone could understand if one of their favourite exclusive games became non-exclusive and please refrain from the "but that wouldnt happen" excuse
