TimeShift coming to the PlayStation 3

PS3 News | Confirmed just in time.
Vivendi has confirmed today via a press release that the eternally-delayed and ironically titled TimeShift will also be making its way to the PlayStation 3.

The game, a first-person shooter where the main character is equipped with a suit that slows, stops and reverses the flow of time, features a multiplayer mode which supports up to sixteen players and will also be coming to the Xbox 360 and the PC.

I had just assumed that it would be getting released on the PS3 too, when (if) it hits. Although its fast becoming a joke/vapourware, I keeping a little flame of interest kindled in the back of my mind. The fact that it was scrapped well into development and re-done because of bad feedback gives me a little hope that this might actually turn out half decent.
I mean, heaps of **** games get churned out all the time - It isn't all that often that a game gets a second chance like this.

Well.. I tried the demo they released in.. what.. 2004-5? The time shifting abilities are ultimately a gimmick, and the gameplay is as far from sharp as possible. Lags like hell too, just so its a pain to play. Demo lasts less than five minutes, I think you only have to dispatch around 10 enemies or so and then its over (reminds me of the FEAR: Extraction Point demo..)

EDIT: And I'd like to see what they're going to do about multiplayer icon_razz.gif
