E3 2007: Tony Hawk's Proving Ground images released

PS3 News | More to prove this year.
Tony Hawk's Proving Ground is a suitable title for the next Tony Hawk game, which is in its 9th incarnation. With EA bringing out their new skating title, Neversoft will need to innovate this year or lose skating fans to EA's SKATE.

Activision has released new images of the game which will feature a video editor as well as a customisable online skate lounge where players can skate freely in their pad. 'Nail the trick' which was a standout feature last year also returns, but you'll now also be able to 'Nail the Grab' and 'Nail the Manual'.

The video editor idea is awesome, something I have wanted since the series began. Skate has a pretty similar editor though so really THPG doesn't have anything over Skate currently. Im buying both anyway so I'll get best of both worlds.

Yeah SKATE looks like its going to be the real deal. Tony has had a stranglehold (looking forward to this one also) on this genre for what seems like an eternity. I will get only one skating game out of these two. At the minute i am definetly leaning towards skate.

I will make my decision on which one when both are finally out.

Have to wait till both, but having just got P8 and finding nail the trick very very cool, the further use of that has me intrigued, but a change from Tony's could also be on call, with this want for Jackassyness..
