Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce will apparently redefine the series by granting players supernatural powers. For the first time, players will be able to take to the skies and battle enemies at high altitudes. Another new element is the ability to work cooperatively with up to four players, allowing teams to “coordinate assaults” on the battlefield. Other features that were casually mentioned include downloadable content and “radical character customisation” options. Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce is scheduled to be released in PAL regions next year, we have included some screenshots in the media panel.
Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires was also confirmed to be in development for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, however, not too many details were revealed. If past Empires games are anything to go by, players can expect a more strategic focus on combat and the challenge of managing their army, such as supplying troops to commanders and ensuring there’s a steady cash flow to finance battles. Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires is scheduled to be released in 2009.
