E3 2005: Star Wars Battlefront II for PSP Confirmed

PSP News | The force is strong with the PSP.
Today LucasArts announced it will be releasing Star Wars Battlefront II on Sony's PlayStation Portable. Developed by Savage Entertainment, Star Wars Battlefront II on the PSP will have most of the features planned for the console counterparts but it will also have special features that the console versions wont.

The console versions of Star Wars Battlefront II will have a longer campaign mode than the PSP version as it will be made up of 'mini campaigns'. Players can choose to act as a smuggler for the Rebellion, a sniper for the Empire (wiping out Jawas, Ewoks, and Gungans no less), or choose a path for himself as a mercenary.

For those wondering if they will be multiplayer, LucasArts claim the game will have four-player cooperative and competitive modes over a Wi-Fi connection.
